Caruso Village Grand Reopening

Gatherers at the Caruso Village grand reopening were treated to a beautiful light show that sparked their hope for the future of the Pacific Palisades

Went to Caruso village grand reopening. Saw a few friends and neighbors and some I recognized but couldn't remember their names but nodded, waved, and hugged. It was all fine and dandy with the ribbon cutting and fanfare but the stark contrast of the BofA bldg with its burned out shell against the beautifulness of the new mall is shameful almost. The evening show was quite spectacular and another respite from the real woes of many residents of pp. When you go into the new mall (I don’t like to call it “the village” because prefires it meant the whole palisades area “in town” not only the mall. People say theyre going to the village and it meant downtown pp but now Caruso took over that name so people are going to have to refer to the area as???—downtown? Town center? A synonym for village is Hamlet! Palisades hamlet? What about district? Colony? Do people say it takes a colony? It takes a district? Or is it takes a village -sounds the best?! Will they call the Marquez business block- Marquez village?, knolls village—no we love the name Marquez Knolls! Sorry, this is my Sunday morning musings
